As Senior Operations Associate, Healy assists in the overall design, development, and implementation of demonstration programs for disadvantaged individuals across MDRC’s policy areas. His current projects include WorkAdvance and SaveUSA, both part of the Social Innovation Fund initiative with the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and the Center for Economic Opportunity. Other recent projects have included Head Start CARES, Supporting Healthy Marriage, and the Evaluation of Enhanced Academic Instruction in After-School Programs. Healy also serves as MDRC’s Director of Administration, where his responsibilities include directing administrative staff, maintaining service contracts, and serving as primary liaison to building owners and management, vendors, and state and local regulatory agencies. Prior to joining MDRC in 1978, Healy served in a number of senior positions for the municipal government of Jersey City, New Jersey. He has a bachelor’s in economics from St. Peter’s College and did graduate work in business administration at Fordham University.
