Scrivener has worked in a variety of areas since joining MDRC, including quantitative and qualitative research and site development. She currently focuses primarily on project management and implementation research on MDRC’s postsecondary education studies. She serves as the Project Director for the multi-site Opening Doors demonstration, which is designed to help low-income students earn college credentials as the pathway to better jobs. Earlier in her tenure at MDRC, Scrivener worked primarily on welfare and employment studies. She has coauthored several research reports and a how-to guide on increasing participation in welfare-to-work programs. Scrivener received a Master’s degree in sociology from the University of Minnesota.
