About MDRC

As a technical research analyst, Altman manages data efforts such as the acquisition, processing, analysis, and archiving of project data sets. Recently she has been serving as data manager on the Variations in Implementation of Quality Interventions project. In addition, she has been working on the Text Ed Demonstration Project, setting up data systems and helping to facilitate the addition of participants to the intervention. Previously she coordinated the Medicaid data work on the Mother and Infant Home Visiting Program Evaluation (MIHOPE)-Strong Start, and before that she worked with survey data on the Supporting Healthy Marriage project. Before joining MDRC in 2007, Altman researched, analyzed, and produced the biannual volume Keeping Track of New York City’s Children, published by the Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies from Wesleyan University.
