MDRC Seeks Applications for Doctoral Fellowships and Summer Internships in the Gueron Fund Minority Scholars Program
As part of its Gueron Fund Minority Scholars Program, MDRC will be offering two opportunities for students this summer:
Up to two doctoral fellowships in summer 2018 to Ph.D. candidates who are pursuing independent, self-directed research on economic and social problems affecting low-income Americans. Each recipient, who will receive a $5,000 stipend, will work on his or her doctoral dissertation — and will participate in the intellectual life of MDRC by attending seminars and project meetings and by working with key MDRC research staff. The fellow can be located in our New York City, Los Angeles, or Oakland, CA, offices.
Paid summer internships in our New York City office for rising undergraduate seniors of diverse backgrounds. The selected summer interns will have opportunities to do applied research related to public policy issues and to build analytical and presentation skills. Interns will be part of multidisciplinary teams evaluating social programs.
The Gueron Fund Minority Scholars Program seeks to engage and encourage individuals from groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the social policy research community.
The application deadline for the internships is Thursday, March 1, 2018. The deadline for the doctoral fellowship is Monday, April 16, 2018. To learn more, click on the links above.
