Michalopoulos is MDRC’s chief economist and directs the Youth Employment, Criminal Justice, and Employment Policy Area. He has nearly three decades of experience studying a wide variety of social policies to help low-income families achieve better economic, health, and social outcomes .

Millenky leads MDRC’s large-scale Building Evidence on Employment Strategies (BEES) project. Much of her research focuses on evaluations of programs for opportunity youth and young adults.

Somers is a senior research associate who specializes in quantitative impact evaluation in the field of education. She has experience and expertise using randomized experiments (student-level and school-level) and comparative interrupted time-series designs to evaluate the effect of educational interventions on student and teacher outcomes.
